7 Points to Know You Are Living Out Your Calling

One of the biggest questions we all ask ourselves, is am I doing what God has called me to do.

Its a great question, to ask on a regular basis to check in and see if we are on the right path.

Colossians 1:9-14 (New Living Translation)

  • we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you.
  • We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
  • Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord
  • Your lives will produce every kind of good fruit.
  • All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.

  • May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father.
  • He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.
  • For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom[b] and forgave our sins.

7 Keys to Know You Are Walking in Your Calling

  1. People cannot talk you out of doing your calling: Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly there for three months, arguing persuasively about the kingdom of God (Acts 19:8)
    .
  2. Divine calling refuses to be defeated by the enemy: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

  3. Divine calling does not alter the message, there will be one theme throughout your entire calling: “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh, and deliver the message I have given you.” (Jonah 3:2)

  4. Divine calling refuses to be limited by health “You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. (Exodus 23:25)

  5. Diving calling refuses to leave the geographical location because of danger: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life. You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; with your right hand, you save me. (Psalm 138:7)

  6. You never retire your divine calling: And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians 1:6)

  7. Never let money be the reason you don’t do your divine calling, never talk about lack, as God will provide. And he called his twelve disciples together and began sending them out two by two, giving them authority to cast out evil spirits. He told them to take nothing for their journey except a walking stick—no food, no traveler’s bag, no money. (Mark 6:7-8)
