I love the thought that it’s on the limb where we are the safest. The other takeaway for me was it’s a sign of unbelief if we are playing live safe, instead of going out on that limb!

TODAY’S SCRIPTURES TO STUDY/MEDITATE ON

Psalm 23:4 (NIV) Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 9:10 (NIV) Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.

John 12:26 (NIV) Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

EXTRA GEMSTONES

One way to study these devotionals is to not only listen to the audio and read these scriptures. But to actually study the scriptures in the different versions. Allow them to sink into your soul and give the Holy Spirit time to speak to you, so these scriptures mean something to you. A great way to go back and forth from different versions is using Bible Gateway

You can simply put in a verse as the example above with John 12:26. Currently you are reading it in the New International Version (NIV). Where I have the red arrow pointed is where you can click on that drop down and choose several different versions to read from. The Message and the King James are two of the other popular versions that I personally like to use.
