Ask God for A Business Idea or An Alternate Income Stream

We are on the home stretch for the 15 ways to make 2024 the best year ever! This is a great one for my solo girlfriends, those of you in business, or those of you who desire to be in business.

Yes, this is awesome because the reason that we generate income in the first place is not simply to supply our own needs and desires. We want to have all the abundance that God promises so that we have seeds to sow into the Kingdom and the means to bless and give to others.

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. [Luke 6:38]

Yeah, believe it or not, that is the world’s way not the biblical way of life. Trust me, I’ve been striving and building businesses all my life. Have made well over six figures and have lost several hundred thousand. If we do things the way the world shows us, we are in trouble, my friend. I’m still in the process of learning God’s way of provision and abundance. However, the one verse that always comes to mind is Matthew 6:33, words directly from Jesus.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. [Matthew 6:33]

BELIEVERS SHOULD NOT BE LIVING ON A FIXED INCOME.

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. [Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV]

NOT TRADING TIME FOR DOLLARS 

And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. [Ecclesiastes 5:19]

Retirement age is just the beginning, not the end of being productive.

But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. [2 Timothy 4:5-7]

The never-ending increase is your story.

Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine [Proverbs 3:9-10]

You are not finished just because of a number (age).

Moses was 120 years old when he died, yet his eyesight was clear, and he was as strong as ever. [Deuteronomy 34:7]

One idea from God can make you wealthy.

The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. [Proverbs 10:22]

Many people have great wealth, but some of them may have obtained this through ungodly means, this is where tremendous sorrow is associated with getting rich. There is a godly way to get rich that doesn’t bring sorrow, and it’s preferred over all other methods. It’s through the blessing of the Lord that riches come.

There is a big difference between the blessing of the Lord and a miracle from the Lord. Many Christians are not cooperating with the blessings of the Lord and are praying for a miracle. Unlike a blessing, a miracle is never as abundant, and it certainly isn’t permanent. The blessing of the Lord will prevent a crisis, whereas a miracle will only happen if there is a crisis. Blessings are God’s best.
