Divine Provision

SCRIPTURE: Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. [Psalm 34:10].

QUOTE: When you trust God as a provider, you will never cease to see wonders in your life (Gift Gugu Mona).

I heard a message in April 2020 from Dr. Stanley that there are times when storms happen, and biscuits will fly especially when we are doing exactly what God called us to do and are exactly where we should be.

The thing is, regardless of what people think or say, regardless of how many biscuits fly, no matter how hard the enemy tries to keep us down, God promises that he is with us through EVERYTHING. There will be provisions that have no explanation on how or where they come from, except they are God-provided supernatural divine provisions. I want to share a few divine provisions to let you know when YOU ARE NOT ABLE – GOD CERTAINLY IS!

Before the biscuits started flying, I had no plans to move back to Colorado full-time. I thought God had planted me in Belize for a purpose. I was going to live in Belize in the winter and Colorado in the summer. The vision was to build a physical location for Entrepreneur University for Women and help the women of Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico develop businesses.

Well, as we know, that all changed within one snap. I knew the condo I had recently purchased needed to go back to the owner. I explained to him what had happened, and he offered six months’ grace to get back on my feet. But in my heart, I sensed that six months wasn’t going to be long enough. The owner simply took back my condo and said whenever you are ready it will still be available to you (divine provision).

When I had to walk away from that beachfront condo, with the beautiful manicured tropical gardens, my purple hammocks, a pool right outside my door, and the sound of the ocean, I was devastated. I needed a place for only four months because I had previously purchased round-trip tickets to attend the John Maxwell team live event in Florida. God did provide a divine provision and a place for me to go. No oceanfront, no pool, no view, no beautiful gardens, no purple hammocks, but a roof over my head (divine provision).

Then I left my beloved Belize and headed to Florida to be with an organization that I also loved being a part of. This was my education platform to learn how to coach, train, and speak. It was also a network of amazing people with similar visions to serve people and make a difference in the world. However, this event was very painful because I could see all of my dreams slipping away and the potential of not being part of this group for a while (which actually was my last one). Even though this provided my divine provision back to the US, I was very distracted because I was constantly wondering what I was going to do after I left this conference and where would I go. A few months prior I had given up my Colorado rental home because I was preparing to purchase something.

I did have funds saved that would sustain me for at least six to maybe ten months, but I wanted to be very wise about how this money was used. This was when I decided to stay with my mom (divine provision) for a few months while I rebuilt another business or was able to find some form of income.

While in New York I was with a business group and a hiking group which was another divine provision that most likely saved my life. But not sure this was the best decision because the environment and energy in upstate NY is nothing like Colorado or Belize. This increased my sadness, with no sunshine, not being able to earn income, and a very difficult time that put me in an even deeper state of non-goodness, that took a long time to recover from.

To be honest, within this book, I’m not going to be able to share all of the divine provisions during this time because there were so many.

But to summarize a few more things…

  • There were people who simply loved on me.
  • There were people who let me stay in their homes when I had no where else to go.
  • Food seemed to come from nowhere.
  • I really cannot tell you how I sustained myself for almost five years without one penny, other than by supernatural divine provision.
  • The log homes, on a creek, with majestic mountain views, really Lord, thank you. This property was a sanctuary and gave me the perfect place to grieve and start the healing process.
  • To the place I’m currently living on the river while I’m writing this book.
  • Simply amazing God provisions.

DIVINE PROVISION: I’m still a little raw and emotional even now as I write about this. In awe of the supernatural and divine provisions but also remember how I felt during this time. I had overwhelming thoughts of unworthiness, fear, sadness, failure, and severe disappointment. There were many days of non-stellar thinking that caused more pain than what was necessary.

As I mentioned earlier in the book, these are the times when you will either create life with your thoughts or take your life with the choice of your thoughts. ONLY through the divine provisions and the grace of God am I still here today.

Here to let you know when YOU ARE NOT ABLE – GOD CERTAINLY IS! He is with you through all seasons, including those brutal biscuit flying ones. He will provide DIVINE PROVISONS right when you need them.
