Doctrine #16: The New Heaven and The New Earth

But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness. [2 Peter 3:13]

BUT GOD – will never leave us hanging in the doom and gloom, or wondering what will happen to us. As believers, we will be safe with God during that 1000-year region. Then we will be ushered onto streets of gold through white pearl gates, and all the gemstones and bling like we have never seen before.

Praise the Lord for the New Heaven and the New Earth, thank you Lord for all you do for us as your children. We are so blessed and so honored to be in your presence. Thank you, Lord, for our new bodies, where will see perfectly, we will never tire, we will always have energy, we will hear perfectly, walk perfectly, and always be in perfect health.

Yes, heaven is perfect, we will be perfect, and life will be perfect. There will be no more devil since he is in the lake of fire, who was the source of all sorrow and imperfection. Heaven will be a place where nothing ever dies, a place where this is no more pain, no more suffering, and no more tears. Never any sickness, never any disease, no more handicapped parking, because there are no disabilities or any type of deformity. Food will be plentiful, and rivers will flow with crystal clear water.

Thank you, Lord, that we have the privilege to serve you and be with you forever and ever.

DO WHAT IS GOOD

Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. But—when God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of his grace, he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone. [Titus 3:3-8]

Wow, there is so much in this one passage, yes you know it, it could be an entire teaching.

  • Oh yes, we were once foolish and disobedient. Thankfully we saw the light!! 😊
  • Our lives were a disastrous mess and we were into all things of the world.
  • We were on that wide path, with the crowds, on our way to hell.
  • BUT GOD – when you see but God you know it’s going to be something awesome.
  • Jesus is our Savior, and by the way the ONLY savior.
  • God revealed his kindness to us when we certainly did not deserve it.
  • God showed His love in a way that human minds cannot understand.
  • God made a way to save us and bring us back into a relationship with Him, when we didn’t even know we were lost.
  • God did all of this because of His Mercy, it had NOTHING to do with what we could or couldn’t do.
  • Jesus washed away all of our sins, gone forever, forgiven, and forgotten.
  • We were given a new life through the Holy Spirit.
  • Generously the Holy Spirit’s power was poured into us.
  • ONLY because of God’s grace are we made right in his sight.
  • This is a trustworthy saying.
  • Insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good.
  • These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.
  • WE CAN KNOW THAT WE WILL INHERIT ETERNAL LIFE.

LIVING THE NEW LIFE

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. [Colossians 3:1-4]

  • Praise God that we have a new life in Jesus.
  • Even right now here on earth we can be so grateful for this new life.
  • We can look forward to heaven and what unimaginable things await us.
  • The things that trap or trip us up here on this earth should be easy to dismiss when our thoughts are on heaven-bound things!
  • Again, all because of the things Jesus has done for us, we are promised a great life here and an even better one in heaven.

PRAISE FOR JUDGMENT AND SALVATION

In Jerusalem, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat. There he will remove the cloud of gloom, the shadow of death that hangs over the earth. He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken! [Isaiah 25:6-8]

  • I enjoy hosting parties, but we can only imagine what this feast is going to be like since it is the celebration of Jesus celebrating the victory of establishing His kingdom once again.
  • A delicious banquet with well-aged wine and choice meats; Ha no artificial man-made meats or bugs!! 😊
  • There will be no more anti-Christ spirits or evil or death; it will be eliminated from this day forth.
  • There will be no more tears girlfriends, no more sorrow, no more pain.
  • Thank you Jesus…
  • No one can ever again make fun of us for standing firm.

JESUS PREPARES OUR NEW HOME

Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am. And you know the way to where I am going. [John 14:1-4]

  • No matter what happens before Jesus returns we are in control of our emotions. Other people and horrific circumstances cannot trouble us unless we allow them to divert our attention from the Lord and His Word.
  • Trust in God, BELIEVE…
  • By Jesus saying there is more than enough room at my Fathers house, it feels like yes, we are finally going home. Hallelujah!!
  • He reiterates His promise to us by saying I would not have told you this IF it wasn’t true. Meaning I would have not told you about heaven if you could not come with me.
  • I just love this verse! Picture it, Jesus is preparing things for me; building my mansion and making it exactly like He knows I would like it. Lots of bling, with glistening colorful gemstones, and purple and gold glittering colors everywhere etc. etc. 😊
  • I love this part even more; when it’s ready Jesus is coming back to me and I will be with Him always, forever and forever…
  • He has shown us the way all throughout His Word.

THE NEW JERUSALEM (Revelation 21)

**NOTE: I won’t be making comments here on the blog, but when I read this on the podcast I will comment as I just can’t help myself because it’s so incredibly amazing.

HEAVENS TRAVEL BROCHURE

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

And the one sitting on the throne said, Look, I am making everything new! And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true. And he also said, It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life.  All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.

But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

Then one of the seven angels who held the seven bowls containing the seven last plagues came and said to me, Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. It shone with the glory of God and sparkled like a precious stone—like jasper as clear as crystal. The city wall was broad and high, with twelve gates guarded by twelve angels. And the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were written on the gates. There were three gates on each side—east, north, south, and west.

The wall of the city had twelve foundation stones, and on them were written the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The angel who talked to me held in his hand a gold measuring stick to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.  When he measured it, he found it was a square, as wide as it was long. In fact, its length and width and height were each 1,400 miles. Then he measured the walls and found them to be 216 feet thick according to the human standard used by the angel.

The wall was made of jasper, and the city was pure gold, as clear as glass. The wall of the city was built on foundation stones inlaid with twelve precious stones: the first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.

The twelve gates were made of pearls—each gate from a single pearl! And the main street was pure gold, as clear as glass. I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city, and the Lamb is its light. The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory.

Its gates will never be closed at the end of day because there is no night there. And all the nations will bring their glory and honor into the city.  Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty—but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.

Then the angel said to me, everything you have heard and seen is trustworthy and true. The Lord God, who inspires his prophets, has sent his angel to tell his servants what will happen soon. [Revelation 21:1-7, 22:1-6]
