Today, we are talking about how being a single woman is NOT a disadvantage, but it’s actually your secret weapon! You can use this season of singleness to seek God like never before, growing in intimacy with Him and gaining clarity on His vision for your life. In This Video, We’ll Uncover Three Simple Ways To Utilize This Unfair Advantage And How You Can Step Into God’s Perfect Plan For Your Life!
Stewardship
Based on biblical principles, **stewardship** is the act of faithfully managing all that God has entrusted to us—our time, talents, treasures, and the earth itself according to His will.
It’s also recognizing that everything we have belongs to God and that we are called to use these resources to honor Him, serve others, and advance His kingdom.
This concept emphasizes accountability, responsibility, and a deep sense of gratitude for the gifts God has provided.
Stewardship Of Our Vision – January 2025
Here’s the truth: being single offers a rare opportunity to focus entirely on your relationship with God.
1 Corinthians 7:33-35 But a married man has to think about his earthly responsibilities and how to please his wife. His interests are divided. In the same way, a woman who is no longer married or has never been married can be devoted to the Lord and holy in body and in spirit. But a married woman has to think about her earthly responsibilities and how to please her husband. I am saying this for your benefit, not to place restrictions on you. I want you to do whatever will help you serve the Lord best, with as few distractions as possible.
With fewer distractions, you can dedicate time to seeking God’s presence, immersing yourself in His Word, and listening for His voice. Your life vision will come out of this intimate relationship from God, it doesn’t come from outside of you, your gifts or talents, or from the world.
What is totally amazing is when realize your God given vision, it will be so big and scary you will realize YOU CANNOT DO IT WITHOUT THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
I want to share with you 3 simple steps on how you can use this unfair advantage for your benefit and hear God’s vision for your life!
- Take Time in His Presence: Start with your focus on the Lord first thing in the morning and be present in His presence. It can be a morning walk, a cup of tea in your backyard garden, or it can be before you even get out of bed. Simply dedicate a few quiet moments for thankful worship and grateful prayer.
Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name.
Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need
Philippians 4:6-7 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
- Immerse Yourself in His Word: schedule time for you to be in the Word. The Bible is your roadmap and your guideposts for everything you think, say, and do. You must KNOW the Word in order to hear from God. I have a few favorite scriptures for being in the Word.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path
Psalm 32:8 The Lord says, I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
We are going to hear from God when we are in the Word. There isn’t going to be a great voice from heaven or a sign to say go left or right. It is knowing the Word and knowing that what God will speak to us will never contradict His Word.
- Journal and Listen: Write down what you sense God is saying. Journaling is a powerful way to keep track of your thoughts and what you believe the Lord is speaking to you. Habakkuk encourages us to write the vision and make it plain.
Habakkuk 2:2 Then the Lord said to me, write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.
Think about the stories in the bible about the sheep and them knowing the shepherd’s voice. It’s the same for us, when we KNOW what God’s Word says we will hear His voice. THEN READ JOHN
John 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
Regarding hearing the voice of God, the story of Elijah is one of my favorites. He had been faithful, but people were still out to kill him, so He was seeking God for His next steps and what to he should do. There were great winds, an earthquake, and fire but God wasn’t in any of these miracles. It was after all that noise and commotion that Elijah heard the voice of God.
1 Kings 19:11-12 Go out and stand before me on the mountain, the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain. It was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper.
As you come to the Lord with thankfulness and gratitude, and you are in His Word and seeking Him, clarity and vision will come. You will see that this time of being solo is not a waiting season but a launchpad for your God-given Vision!
I like to end each video with some practical actions steps for you to put these principles to work in your life. So here is your challenge for this week. Take some grateful and thankful time of prayer and worship and just be in His Presence. Immerse yourself in His Word. Do a deep study of one scripture or read an entire book. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you on what to read and meditate on. Write your thoughts and prayers down and listen to what the Lord shows you next.
[Proverbs 29:18] When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.
