Supernatural Vision

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen [Ephesians 3:20-21]

QUOTE: Ask God to enlarge your vision, to show you how much more He has for you beyond what you have ever seen, felt, heard, or know. It’s there; but He’s waiting for you (anonymous)!

As I’m walking the beach the day after I had lost my beach front condo in Belize, I was numb, a bit sad and not really thinking or praying as I usually did on my Holy Appointment walks. I felt like the walking dead and sensed that there were lessons I was going to learn in the next few years that would change my life forever.

The Lord was always giving me vivid visions of what my business and life would look like. That day I was wondering whether or not those visions were really from God. Were they just my imagination? Why Lord, did you give me those visions and then take everything away that was moving towards that vision? (Yes, I accidently did ask why that morning). Were those ideas and creations from you?

Before all biscuits hit the fan, I was working with Belizean women to help them start their own business, stellar thinking principles, and teaching them entrepreneurial skills. I had envisioned at some point there would be a place where these women could physically go to learn these skills and it would be open to all women in the country.

As I walked by this empty plot of land the Lord showed me a beautiful, gated property. There I envisioned a stunning three-story building overlooking the ocean, with beautifully manicured grounds and luscious tropical flowers. I could see several hundred women obtaining stellar thinking skills, learning how to become more independent, and developing their own businesses. I’d walked past this plot of land a zillion times and never even noticed that it was vacant. But that particular morning the Lord also showed me the sign on the gate that said: Entrepreneur University for Women-Belize.

I was stopped in my tracks with tears streaming down my face, for the first time in my life, I said, “Lord thank you for showing me this, but I don’t want any more visions please, and especially not today.” I couldn’t understand why in the world the Lord was showing me this when I had just lost everything that I’d been working for toward this vision.

This vison for Entrepreneur University for Women has been a work in progress for many years. Most of my businesses were built with ease and quickly. But for some reason this business has been obviously very different. It has taken lots of effort, one challenge after another, painful moments, buckets of tears, patience, a lot of fall-down and get-up moments. It has become a labor of love and frustration. But mostly, it took me letting it all go, to the point of actually letting the entire concept die. Oh, yes there was kicking and screaming all the way through. Until I just finally stopped. I stopped trying to figure out ways to build the business, I stopped learning ways to market, stopped taking classes, stopped listening to other coaches, stopped everything completely, stopped trying to make it work, and tried to let this vision die.

For someone that is a lion personality, entrepreneurial, full of ideas, and a visionary, having to stop and let go was very difficult and painful. It was a process that took many years and tears. I’d been stripped of every single thing I knew and was. Knocked to my knees to the point I couldn’t breathe and was totally numb. No business, no home, no income, no clients, nothing to give, no way to move forward. I felt totally raw, useless and helpless. I thought it was where God wanted me to be and I struggled for many years.  This wasn’t God, it was ALL the enemy doing what he does – steal, kill, and destroy. And yet during this entire time, the Lord kept showing me more visions to give me hope and know there is more to come.

What I learned from this journey is Who God Says I Am. My life or worth is not based on the things I’ve been able to accomplish, my businesses, my friends, my family, the homes I had, the money earned, or anything else. It starts with the basic foundation of TRUSTING God for everything in my life and making Him the most important person in my life.

When I finally stopped trying to make the business work and let God work through me, it was like a huge boulder was taken off my chest. When I sought God for HIS plans and what He wanted me to that is all things changed. When I learned to trust and let God be my CEO it was then and only then that I was at total peace.

As I’m thinking and writing this today, I believe God gave me that vision to show me it’s not over and “I’m not done with you yet.” I knew it then, but I was so numb I couldn’t even accept it at the time. That vision of seeing Entrepreneur University for Women-Belize is still engrained in my mind and I can’t wait to see what the Lord has in the near future.

SUPERNATURAL VISION: My dear girlfriends, it’s just isn’t possible to let a vision die when it’s given supernaturally by God. You can screw up, mess, up, run away, kick and scream, get on a boat, fight and do whatever you can think of to run from it, but when God gives you a vision it’s NEVER going to go away.

It’s your choice whether you pursue and know that vision and IF you are going take the responsibility with the plan God has given you or if you decide to make your own plans.

DAILY SCRIPTURES

DAY 1: Our own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, this is the way you should go, whether to the right or to the left. [Isaiah 30:21]

DAY 2: This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says to his people: Do not listen to these prophets when they prophesy to you, filling you with futile hopes. They are making up everything they say. They do not speak for the Lord! [Jeremiah 23:16]

DAY 3: And the Lord said to them, now listen to what I say. If there were prophets among you, I, the Lord, would reveal myself in visions. I would speak to them in dreams. [Numbers 12:6]

DAY 4: We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer.  People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. [Proverbs 16:1-3]

DAY 5: Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. [Proverbs 3:5-6]

DAY 6: The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. [Psalm 37:23-24]

DAY 7: Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. [Revelation 21:1-3]
